ChescoBus December Service Updates

As we enter the holiday season, the City of Coatesville and ChescoBus would like to extend a warm welcome to all riders—especially those using newly purchased bus passes this month. Thank you for choosing public transit as your safe, reliable way to travel.

While you’re out shopping or visiting family, please remember that ChescoBus has a package limit of six (6). Before boarding or exiting the bus, take a quick moment to ensure you have all of your belongings. A little awareness goes a long way during this busy time of year.

Winter Weather & December Service Alerts

As we move into colder months and holiday activities, please keep the following service changes and detours in mind:

 

December 5 — First Friday in Oxford

• SCCOOT Detour (after 2:00 PM)

To travel from 3rd Street to the Oxford Parking Garage, buses will use Pine Street → Lancaster Avenue, turn left onto Coach Street, then continue along 2nd Street to reach the Oxford Parking Garage.

 

December 5 — West Chester Christmas Parade

• SCCOOT Stop Change (after 4:30 PM)

The West Chester Transportation Center stop will temporarily move to Bernard & S. New Street.

 

December 6 — Parkesburg Christmas Parade

• Coatesville LINK

Expect increased traffic and potential delays throughout the parade route.

 

December 6 — Coatesville Christmas Parade

• Coatesville LINK (7:00 AM until parade conclusion)
• During this time, buses will operate only between the Parkesburg Library and Airport Shopping Center.

There will be no service to:

• 13th Avenue
• Airport Road
• Regency Apartments

Please plan your travel accordingly.

 

Holiday Schedule

December 25 (Christmas Day) — No bus service

January 1 (New Year’s Day) — No bus service
