Become a City of Coatesville Firefighter

The City of Coatesville Bureau of Fire is now hiring full-time and part-time firefighters.

This is an opportunity to serve the Coatesville community, work with a professional fire department, and be part of a team committed to public safety, emergency response, and community service.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants should have the following qualifications:

IFSAC/ProBoard Firefighter 2
PA Emergency Medical Technician – Basic
Vehicle Rescue Technician
Pump Operations 1 & 2
Hazardous Materials Operations
ICS 100, 200, 700, 800
Aerial Apparatus
Truck & Ladder Company Operations

Within One Year of Hire

Fire Inspector 1
Basic Rope
ICS 300

Benefits and Schedule

Full-time salary: $80,750 – $95,000
Part-time rate: $27.00/hour

24/72 schedule

Department Information

The City of Coatesville Bureau of Fire responds to approximately 1,200 emergencies annually and operates with a staffed engine and truck. The department does not provide EMS transport, and a new engine and tiller have been ordered.

Written Test: May 20, 2026 at 7:00 PM
Physical Agility Test: May 30, 2026 at 9:00 AM
