PA American Water: Mandatory Water Conservation Notice for Coatesville Customers

Pennsylvania American Water has issued a mandatory water conservation notice for customers in the Coatesville area following recent high heat and heavy rainfall.
Beginning Sunday, September 6, 2026, affected customers must reduce water consumption and discontinue all non-essential water use until further notice. This includes outdoor watering and other unnecessary uses of water.
Pennsylvania American Water’s notice lists an estimated end time of 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. However, customers should continue conserving water until Pennsylvania American Water officially announces that the mandatory conservation notice has been lifted.
Landlords whose water service is registered in their name are asked to notify their tenants of the mandatory restrictions.
For current information, conservation recommendations, and a map of the affected area, visit the Pennsylvania American Water Alerts page.
Customers requiring assistance in Spanish may call Pennsylvania American Water at 1-800-565-7292.
The City of Coatesville thanks residents and businesses for their cooperation in limiting water use during this period.
