Halloween Safety Tips
Practicing Medication Safety during Halloween
With Halloween approaching, it’s a good time to talk about medication safety. Many medications can potentially look and even taste like candy to children. Therefore, it is important to keep medication safety in mind.
BELOW ARE SOME SAFETY TIPS:
- Dispose of unneeded or expired medications at a safe location such as a medication collection site.
- Keep medications in a secure location such as a pill pod or locked cabinet. The Department of Drug and Alcohol Services provide free locking medication pods to all Chester County residents.
- Never share prescribed medication with family or friends, even if they are experiencing the same symptoms as you.
