Redevelopment Authority of the City of Coatesville

City of Coatesville, PA 19320 Phone: 610-384-0300 Fax: 610-384-3612 Adopted The Redevelopment Authority was created by the Council of the City of Coatesville on September 27, 1999 as Ordinance Number 1110-99. Composition and Terms The City of Redevelopment Authority is constituted to consist of five (5) members appointed by the City Council of the City of Coatesville, a solicitor, and staff. The term of each of the members of the Authority shall be five (5) years or until his or her successor is appointed and qualified, except that the terms of the members first appointed pursuant to the MPC and this chapter shall be so fixed that no more than one (1) shall be re-appointed or replaced during any future calendar year. Powers and Duties The Redevelopment Authority shall perform all duties and may exercise all powers conferred by law, by the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code (MPC), and as requested by the Council of the City of Coatesville consistent with the provisions of § 10209.1 of the MPC. The City Council, by ordinance, by resolution or by other official action, may confer powers and duties on the Authority which are consistent with the provisions of the MPC. Meetings and Agendas The Redevelopment Authority meets regularly on the third Monday of each month at 7:00pm in the City Council Chambers of City Hall or as matters before the Authority may require.
