The Coatesville Police Department is currently accepting Police Officer applicants with Act 120 training or certification but not hiring at this time.

Our mission is to provide effective, efficient, and professional Law enforcement, while maintaining the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and community service. We are looking for applicants who are people oriented team workers who can engage a diverse community for public safety.

Anyone interested in employment as a Coatesville Police Officer may pick up an application in the Administrative Office, Police Department at City Hall, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm or you can simply download it from the Coatesville City Web Site at www.coatesville.org

• Graduation from a standard high school, vocational school or acceptable GED equivalency with transcripts

• Must possess a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License at the time of an conditional offer
• Must possess a Social security Card
• If served in the military, provide a copy of DD214
• Be of good moral character
• Must undergo criminal records check
• Not Convicted of any Felony
• Must successfully pass a complete background investigation (see application requirements for more details)
• Take a Department Accelerated Examination
