Coatesville Planning Commission  One City Hall Place City of Coatesville, PA 19320 Phone: 610-384-0300 Fax: 610-384-3612 Adopted The Planning Commission was created by the Council of the City of Coatesville on 2-8-1993 as Ord. No. 916-93. Composition and Terms The City of Coatesville Planning Commission is hereby reconstituted to consist of seven (7) members appointed by the City Council of the City of Coatesville. The term of each of the members of the Commission shall be four (4) years or until his or her successor is appointed and qualified, except that the terms of the members first appointed pursuant to the MPC and this chapter shall be so fixed that no more than two (2) shall be re-appointed or replaced during any future calendar year. Powers and Duties The Planning Commission shall perform all duties and may exercise all powers conferred by law, by the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code (MPC),EN and as requested by the Council of the City of Coatesville consistent with the provisions of § 10209.1 of the MPC. The City Council, by ordinance, by resolution or by other official action, may confer powers and duties on the Commission which are consistent with the provisions of the MPC. Meetings The Planning Commission meets regularly on the Wednesday after City Council at 6:00pm in the multi-purpose room of City Hall or as matters before the Commission may require.
