The Urban Planning and Codes Enforcement Department responds to concerns from citizens that affect the quality of life within the city such as zoning, building compliance, overgrown lots or yards, maintenance of structures, illegal signs and public nuisances. We pursue such functions by administering a fair and unbiased enforcement program to correct violations of municipal codes and land use requirements. We also work with residents, neighborhood associations, public service agencies and other City departments to ensure properties are in compliance with city code. In addition, Codes Enforcement regulates rental properties in Coatesville by certifying landlords are in compliance with the City of Coatesville Minimum Housing Standards and by conducting regular rental property inspections.

Inspection Hours: 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
