Welcome to the City of Coatesville Finance Department. The City’s Finance Department is responsible for all aspects of City finances. These responsibilities include:
- Maintaining the City’s financial records
- Cash Management
- Billing and collecting City taxes
- Budgeting, forecasting and auditing
- Collecting all City revenues

Change of Address Form for Tax Billing
Below is the mailing address change form (and instructions for same) to change your tax billing mailing address for a property within the City limits. Please be reminded that the form must be completed and either faxed or mailed to both the City of Coatesville and Chester County. Both addresses are available on the forms.

Appointed Auditor
Barbacane Thornton is the appointed independent public accounting firm that conducts the City of Coatesville’s annual audit of financial accounts, records and procedures.
DATES TO KEEP IN MIND
Residential Real Estate Tax:
3/31/12: Deadline for 2% discount
5/31/12: Deadline for face amount
06/01/12 – 12/31/12: 10% penalty added to face amount
Solid Waste Fee Due Dates:
Installment payments are to be post marked or hand delivered by August 13, September 30, November 12, and/or December 31, of the current calendar year.
Payments made after August 13, 2012 will incur a 15% Penalty. If full payment not received by 12/31/12, your account will be turned over to a collection agency. Any outstanding bill will be liened and collection fees will be added to outstanding balance.
