The franchise area includes parts of Caln, East Fallowfield, Sadsbury, West Caln, West Sadsbury, and Valley Townships and parts of Modena, Parkesburg and South Coatesville Boroughs as well as the City of Coatesville.
Potable water storage is provided in five storage tanks with a combined capacity of four million gallons. In 1995 there were approximately 8,125 metered connections to the water supply system. The average daily use for the system in 1995 was approximately 3.3 MGD with peaks of 4.5 MGD. Water is carried from the reservoir to the city via an 18-inch gravity main. This line passes through a pump near the confluence of Rock Run and Brandywine Creek. Water is then distributed through a network of mostly 10-12 inch connectors which are connected to individual customer hook-ups. |
