25 June 2015 Update #6 1600 Hours

An early summer storm came through the City of Coatesville late yesterday afternoon bringing heavy rain and very high wind gusts.

City’s Emergency Management Personnel have completed a primary and secondary survey, however residents are urged to report damage to the City EOC.  Residents are urged to report any remarkable downed trees and structural damage to the City’s Emergency Operations Center phone line at 610-384-1411 and leave the information on voicemail with your contact information. Information may also be forwarded by e-mail to EOC@coatesville.org.

Any EMERGENCY MUST go directly to 911.

Residents are urged to stay away from any downed or arcing power lines and should be especially cautious when PECO begins to reenergize grids.

Power outages should be reported to PECO energy.

Residents should stay informed by checking here for updates. PECO currently reports approximately 893 customers in the City of Coatesville remain without commercial power and has crews working throughout the region to correct the problems. At this time we are estimating that we may be without power for at least the next 24 hours.  This reflects PECO only, not other services such as Comcast, Verizon, etc.

The 500 Block of East Harmony remains closed due to a downed tree. South 13th Avenue between Reed Street and West Chester Road remains closed due to several snapped utility poles and trees down.

Generator use should be utilized with care 15’ away from any structure and with adequate ventilation.
